Fly Tying with Hans- Creepy Crawly Stonefly Nymph

Creepy Crawly Stonefly Nymph

This stonefly nymph pattern mixes realism, weight, and flash to achieve a balanced and effective fly. The golden pheasant legs add the hint of realistic legs and dress up the pattern. Fish in faster freestone rivers with good populations of stonefly nymphs. Can be tied on straight shanked hooks as well as curved. In smaller sizes it mimics the nymph of the little yellow stoneflies found in the streams of the Black Hills.
